What is a session like?
After taking a brief history of your pet, I will spend some time getting to know him and letting him get to know me. I will ask about areas your pet may not liked to be touched; for example, many dogs do not like their feet touched.
I begin the session with a gentle massage that gives your pet time of adjust to having me touch him. This also warms up the muscles and tendons in preparation for some deeper work.
I continue massaging, and begin increasing pressure to loosen up any tight areas I may have found during the gentle massage. In many cases, your pet will “offer” areas that he enjoys or feels good having massaged.

Even during the first session, I find most pets settle in and I can feel and see them begin to relax and sometimes “melt.” Often they will paw me for more if I stop.
And remember, massage stimulates all of the biological system: circulatory, nervous, endocrine, reproductive, digestive, urinary, etc. So he not only feels good from the massage, but it can help keep him healthy.
And keeping his muscles, tendons and joint flexible will help prevent injury even during something as simple as a game of fetch.
